Supporting Cottage by the Sea
Over the last few years, ABN Group has built a charitable partnership with Cottage by the Sea, an organisation that works to enhance the lives of young people by providing inspirational and fun opportunities through its tailored programs for children in need.
Located in Queenscliff on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula, Cottage by the Sea provides a range of services and programs for children, young people and their families, including school camps, free respite holidays and more.
Our people are inspired by the work Cottage by the Sea does to empower the young people who engage in their services. We have been proud to support their work in multiple ways, including raising funds and volunteering.
The Barcelona 32 charity house
Across 2021 and 2022, ABN Group partnered with Moremac Property Group and over 45 supporting partners to build a charity house for local not-for-profit children’s charity, Cottage by the Sea.
The breathtaking Boutique Homes Barcelona 32 family home was constructed at Point Lonsdale’s The Point estate, featuring huge windows overlooking the local waterways and filling the home with expansive natural light.
At auction, the stunning home sold for $1.68 million, with all proceeds donated to support the work of the charity.
The funds raised would play an important role in the organisation’s mission to enhance the lives of young people by providing inspirational and fun opportunities in a holiday environment, including the expansion of its much-loved Riptide building.
Giving back to the community
Over the last few years, we’ve been delighted to spend the day in Queenscliff, rolling up our sleeves and giving back to our community with our hands on multiple occasions.
During a working bee in 2024, over 40 volunteers from across ABN Group joined our leadership team and got to work around the grounds.
From painting, gardening, cleaning, mending, building and more, the team accomplished several months of work in one day, enabling the Cottage by the Sea team the time and capacity to focus on their meaningful programs.
We have plans to provide similar working bees annually (at a minimum) as a hands-on way of providing this vital charity our support.
